Times Now HD is likely to launch in APRIL, Before Times Now HD, the network will launching the HD version of its youth- focused English movie channel Movies Now 2 by the end of July.2016. The standard-definition (SD) version of Movies Now 2 had launched on 23 June. Currently, Times Network has three HD channels, namely Movies Now HD, MN+ and Romedy Now HD. As per FICCI KPMG report 2016, HD channels are contributing significantly to the growth in ad revenue for some broadcasters. The report noted that HD channels were initially offered as premium ad-free channels and were completely dependent on subscription revenues. “However, this has changed with broadcasters beginning to monetise HD channel feeds separately for ad revenue.
